A collaborative project funded by Aimhigher, undertaken by University of Hertforshire and City College Norwich. The project aimed to determine how the work of Aimhigher had been experienced and percieved retorspectively and prospectively by a sample of young people, key staff and parents./carers in each County across the East of England. The research concluded that Aimhigher has been well received by students, parents and staff. The activities appear to raise aspirations and attainment and encourage students to think about entering further or higher education. There are still some problems regarding the organisation of the activities and the frequency and content of activities.Currently there are very few activities that involve parents and parents do not have much information of widening participation activities.
